Sintered bronze :
This production process, basis of the CBP know-how, corresponds to the bearing sintering technique of thin bronze bearings, in accordance with the original patent registered by the designers of the first combustion engines. It consists in spreading a bronze powder on a steel sheet, and place it in a continuous furnace in order to obtain a steel + sintered bronze plate which will then be used either to realise plates or thrust washers, or to manufacture bearings or bushings by the means of a press forming process. Different bronze alloys are available, depending on target applications. ( see datasheet )
